Role of SAP in Return To Work

Houston SAP contracts with companies that outsource their SAP and “Return-to-Duty” processes for those who have tested positive or refused to comply with drug testing regulations and policies.  Our experienced staff are able to coordinate this process for companies, regardless of the location of the employee in need.  The process is based upon written agreement between the company and Houston SAP, though the recommended process is described below:

  1. Company DER (find out about our DER training) receives positive/refusal drug test report.
  2. Company DER refers employee to Houston SAP
  3. Houston SAP and employee communicate
  4. Houston SAP facilitates formal SAP assessment though one of our several national networks of providers
  5. SAP Return-to-Duty process initiates
  6. Houston SAP receives SAP paperwork and ensures compliance is met
  7. Houston SAP contacts Company DER when employee is in compliance
  8. Employee submits Return-to-Duty drug test
  9. Houston SAP monitors additional recommendations made by evaluating SAP
